Exciting news for my little lady!!

We found out today that Mya will be the face of Ruby from the Little Us doll range in association with Debenhams...she has won the entire doll range along with a photo shoot and the possibility to become one of the faces for the entire campaign for Little Us!!

Here's the picture of Mya that I entered

We entered the condition comparing her to Ruby the Little Us rag doll...
This is what Little Us say about their ruby well my little madam is just the same she's definitely a little diva but also a little angel too!

I've got to say we're over the moon and very excited to of been selected!

The range of dolls are very inspiring to little girls and they are an ideal gift! I actually purchased a Ruby for Mya for her birthday next week...because I love the fact they are an innocent toy and I love to see Mya use her imagination and role play with her toys rather than sit in front of the tv or playing on gadgets!!

Check out the range of Little Us on

A warburtons 'crazy kitchen' in my crazy kitchen review!

We were invited to write a blog on behalf of Warburtons and their 'crazy kitchen' and i just couldn't resist...not only do we love our food but I thought it might encourage my eldest to try new things!

I received a lovely little hamper of goodies yesterday...take a look what was inside along with 3 Crazy Kitchen recipes:

I was excited by what was inside especially the Warburtons square(ish) wraps and sandwich thins..time to make our lunchtime more exciting!

Out of our hamper selection...we went for the sandwich thins along with Tuna..light mayo..red onion...grated cheese...sweet corn..cucumber and a salad selection!

I had the entire concoction..but My son had all minus salad and onion and my daughter

I have to thank you Warburtons...for the first time in a long while my daughter had bread for lunch instead of a deconstructed sandwich...which usually means a bit of ham and slices of cheese on her plate!! I know I shall be purchasing the sanwich thins again!

So....along with the lunch making I got the whole family involved in watching the next and last 'Crazy Kitchen' instalment...the best of all the trial as well as behind the scene footage! Not only it is funny watching two families compete over lunch making trials...trying to get a lunchtime treat made while being distracted by wobbly tables and chicken costumes!! it made us want to make our lunchtimes more fun!

So we made use of the props in the hamper..my 2 children have since been running around the house wearing the chicken mask and party hat...take a look for yourself at their crazy antics...
The children loved getting involved with lunch making...and encouraged them to eat too!

See the latest and final 'crazy kitchen' instalment here:
Or over on their YouTube channel

Let know wha you think of it after watching?

Also I thought id have a sneak peak at the website while taking part this review and have to say I am highly impressed the contents! Not only does it have great design but also easy to navigate pages and great lunch recipes to try!
I sure will be from now on!!
Take a look for yourself:

Thanks for reading my review and poping over to my blog!

Disclaimer: we were sent the hamper for the purpose of the blog and all opinions are my own!!

Vital Baby Travel Kit Review

We have had the most fun reviewing the travel kit!!
This range is great and come in three great colour choices! Blue,Pink & Orange..we picked orange cause its a unisex colour and i knew both children would be using them! The range is 'BPA free' and are readily available in all leading retail stores! Or find the entire range at www.vitalbaby.com!
We received our travel kit a couple of weeks ago and have used them a number of times..in the car..when the children have stayed with their nanny and grandpa's and on day trips and they are great..come in extremely handy and my daughters almost 3 and she loves using them as much as my 1 year old son does!

So today we decided to show you exactly how much fun we've had...
Using each of the accessories...
.The no spill trap-a-snack: perfect for little fingers and little snacks
.The trainer cup: (200ml capacity) ideal..no spills or drips and both my children love the beaker and fight over it!
.The Unbelieveabowl: not only an amazing name but wow the suction is incredible...(I even picked up a wooden toddler chair when trying he suction out)
.The weaner set (which to me is more of a travel container bowl with Spoon)...this bowl has so many uses!!
...we had a picnic with some of their toys...

My favourite of the 4 is the travel container...perfect for all foods and snacks...fits perfectly into my handbag..so the littles always have food on the go!
The children's favourite is the trainer cup...both have actually fought over using it...lovely size and hold a good amount of juice!

.The final and much needed accessory in the kit is the super soft fruity hand & face wipes...perfect for in the car and lovely fresh clean smell.

The picnic is now over and all parties have had their hands and faces wiped...their all full including the toys and are ready for an afternoon nap!!

That leaves me to the washing up..which won't take me long as the Vital travel kits washes up nicely! Ready to be used again and again and again!!

Pushchairs...

What is is about us women that makes us want to constantly update our pushchair..whether it be upgrading to the newest model or exploring a different brand?

I'm no different from the rest in 2 and a half years I've owned 8!!!

 1 Mamas&Papas plico pramette
 1 Luna mix
 1 Maclaren XLR
 1 ICandy pear
 2 Cossatto supa lites
 1 Maclaren twin triumph &
 1 Quinny Moodd

But apart from the Moodd (I was lucky enough to be given the Moodd as part of a project run by Quinny) I haven't loved my pushchairs and always looked for something new much to my Fiancé's hate! He doesn't get it!!!

I honestly do think someone needs to start a help group for buggy addicts as I'm sure this is some sort of syndrome!

But right now I'm on a mission to find my next fix...and I know exactly what I want ...Bugaboo here I come!!

Clingy child/separation anxiety!?!

It started quite recently....

Mya who's now 3 months short of turning 3...wants to be picked up all the time...I'm not sure if she's worried she's missing out or maybe fells like she's going to be left behind but it's getting a bit silly now...even if I'm cooking/washing/getting ready to go out...to be honest there isn't a time she doesn't ask to be picked up!!
But I don't know why...I've tried reassuring her and even telling her to hold my hand instead but it doesn't seem to be helping!! The thing is she's fine when I drop her at nursery...waves me off without a hint of concern!! So i just have no idea why she does it at home!

If anyone out there has similar experiences of this..please let me know if you found out the reason and how it resolved??

Boot sale madness....

I don't know if i was being nuts but I decided it was time to do a boot sale...and take the kids with me! Well not quite me alone..my mum and sister were part of the expedition too!!

Mya as I thought kept needing the loo...and as she's not using her pushchair anymore and wanted to walk around a lot ( or should I say be carried!!)

Lucky enough they both fell asleep...one in my arms and the other in his pushchair...

2 hours of car boot madness later they both woke up full of energy...

Luckily I took their play tent(which was in the boot!!) and a bunch of toy animals to keep then entertained even though both of them were more interested in watching the dogs people had walking around!

Time passed quick enough and we'd survived...my only dilemma was that the car broke down on the way home...but other than that we'd had a great day shame the sun didn't show its face!!

Peppa pigs taking over my child

I don't know of its me but I'm sure Peppa Pig does some sort of brainwashing to children....

I have found myself watching Peppa and she does have a bit of an attitude!! I've now found that so does my daughter!!! She copies what she says and often repeats lines she's heard on an episode!

Now she's nearly 3 and I expect a little bits of cheekiness but I'd like Peppa to move out so I can have my daughter back! Lol

I'm sure it's only a phase...so from now we'll be watching countdown and Dickinson's real deals!!!

Anyone else notice their children becoming their favourite tv character???

These two are bonkers

I need to start by saying I've never been completely sane...and wouldn't claim to be normal..but what is normal??
Well these 2 little loons of mine sure aren't normal and slightly of their Trollies....
One of Myas nicknames was Goof for a very long time....

And I couldn't tell you who was the nuttier one of the 2...

But it certainly makes for an interesting day...when you have no idea what their going to do!!

A good day out

We've had a fair few days out and about recently ...We live in west London and very fortunate to have a lot to do within close proximity...and I have found the best place to go locally!!!

King George’s Playing Fields sand park!!!!

Of course the only time you can really go is when the sun is out...we've been a number of times now and of course when the sun is shinning...I'm not a fan of sand in my shoes unless I can whip them off and soak up some sun!

They have a number of activities from a tunnel leading to the sand from the park...climbing apparatus...slides...an actual play digger...swings and trampolines!

We especially enjoyed taking a picnic one day so we could spend a number of hours there...

What's makes this park even better is is all free (except my picnic) and we all have a great day!

Sharing a story...

I've read so many stories that touch me of parents going through extremely stressful times dealing with problems to do with their children...but if like me you didn't ever blog about it to get it off your chest...

Here's our story...

Mya (my eldest) was born @ 37 weeks and what a tiny perfect little bundle she was...everything was fine and we came home!

It soon became apparent that one of her legs was shorter and skinnier...as well as her forehead on one side being enlarged!
After a few trips to the dr she got referred to Ealing hospital. Her paediatrician at first thought she had Hemihypertrophy...we were then sent to King college hospital for numerous tests...

We went through months of being told her lymph nodes were enlarged and she may have a possible lump on her ovary...so you think the worst...CANCER!!!

At the same time we were having genetic testing done.....

A trip to Great Ormond Street to have another scan but thankfully the results on her ovary came back clear!

We had to go for blood tests and scans @ Kings every month but all results kept coming back inconclusive and this on top of expecting our 2nd baby was highly stressful!

I had a chat with the genetic specialist and she had a feeling they were over looking the problem and it may be possible she didn't even have Hemihypertrophy but something completely different!

In the meantime Mya had an eye test @ the hospital and we found one of her optic nerves is larger...the optitian panicked a little and asked her senior if she should be worried...(again thinking she had Hemihypertrophy...and overgrowth condition)...their reply was everyone is different is doest mean something is wrong...this was the first time in a long while I felt a little weight lift off my shoulders! She then had her first pair of glasses ordered!

Then baby #2 was born...a lovely little bundle even though he was 6 weeks early born with phnumonia...so another ting on top to deal with! 10 days later he had the all clear..but developed severe reflux!! Which we had treatment for!!

Finally we had an appointment and a result from the genetic team....

They told me she in fact has a condition called SILVER RUSSELL SYNDROME...which is the opposite of what they thought! Instead of an overgrowth problem...the larger side is her normal side and the smaller part of her is to do with the syndrome!

We have been told this was never have any effect on her and to cancel all other appointments...It was an amazing day!!! They actually found Mya very interesting because she doesn't have all the traits of Silver Russell...her forehead only has an enlargement on one side and her leg with time may even out! We could finally enjoy our little girl without worrying!! I have been told by her paediatrician that we no longer need to see him either but because of her forehead she may need a brain scan when she's about 5...I'm not even worrying about it...it has cause no problems..well except whenever she falls over she always seems to hit that side!!!

My only stress was then to deal with a refluxing baby...

I can completely empathise with all parents hearing bad news but there is always a brighter side and you can often come though it...I feel I did...but stronger!!

The picture is a recent picture of Mya but you'd never know she had any condition what so ever!!! She's the best little madam you could ever wish for...she still has her glasses bless her because she's extremely long sighted and won't ever change! Somehow they suit her and she wears then all the time!

Nucky&Bumble

The names Nucky & Bumble are my childrens nicknames...I have no idea how they ended up with them but they have had their fair share of nicknames since they were both born!!!

This blog post is just to show off my Nucky&Bumble sock monkeys made for us by a lovely lady who has her own business called Rize! Very personal and my children both love theirs! She also makes one of dresses!

Check her out @ http://www.r-i-z-e.co.uk/monkeys.html
